Spread the love

Skyscrapers in the desert sand, shopping under palm trees and a touch of the Orient in a city of extremes. Those who like the extravagant will love Dubai. Exclusive hotels, elegant shopping malls and the most breathtaking skyscrapers in the world are strung together here like pearls on a necklace. And those looking for action while on holiday will find it in Dubai as well.

No other holiday destination is as dedicated to the exclusive, elegant and extreme as the Arabian metropolis. Within a few decades, the metropolis on the Persian Gulf was created from the sandy soil and has since been captivating tourists from all over the world. They marvel at the tallest buildings in the world, the most glamorous shopping centres and the most luxurious hotels in the city. Seasoned with a pinch of oriental culture, this makes the perfect holiday mix for those who simply can’t get enough of luxury and action.

Sightseeing in Dubai

For friends of architecture Dubai is an absolute must see. With the Burj Khalifa, the highest building in the world to date, the city possesses a unique jewel of architecture. The tower measures 828 meters and is made of reinforced concrete and glass. It has 198 floors, which can be reached by 57 elevators. Here you can dine at the At.Mosphere – the highest restaurant in the world. And from the visitor terrace, you can see the metropolis as well as the desert and the sea that surrounds it.

Besides the Burj Khalifa, there is much to see in Dubai. The Emirates Towers are also worth a visit and impress with their unusual architecture and the luxurious shopping centre “The Boulevard”. The city’s souks, the traditional Arab markets, offer all kinds of beautiful and unusual things for sale. Browse through spice and carpet traders and buy unusual souvenirs that smell of the desert and the Orient. The Burj Al Arab, which can already be admired on approaching the city, braces itself like a sail against the wind coming from the sea. And the Hotel Atlantis, the Palm, with its spectacular water park, offers lively fun for young and old.

Adventures in Dubai

Your holiday may also be a little more action-packed? How about a day of skiing? If you think that you are supposed to conquer the sand dunes of the surrounding area on two boards, you are far from it. In the city’s sensational indoor ski hall, you will take turns on real skis and next to a real ski lift through real snow. For even more adrenalin, try skydiving and bungee jumping. Because: Where better to experience this than in the city with the tallest building in the world.
