Long-Haul Fleet Grows with Three A330s, Strengthening African Routes
The airline’s long-haul fleet is set to grow with three new Airbus A330 aircraft, reinforcing its routes to Sub-Saharan Africa. This move underscores the carrier’s strategy to strengthen its African network, capitalizing on the continent’s increasing demand for air travel.
Over 250 New Jobs to Create and €100 Million Interior Upgrade
As part of this expansion, Brussels Airlines will create over 250 new jobs, including positions for pilots, cabin crew, and support staff. This growth aligns with the airline’s ambition to establish Brussels as a key European hub for flights to and from Africa, leveraging its expertise in the region.
The expansion plan also includes a substantial €100 million investment in upgrading cabin interiors across all travel classes. This significant commitment to improving passenger comfort and experience demonstrates the airline’s dedication to offering premium service on its growing network.
Additional Fleet Growth: Seasonal A220s to Boost Capacity
Additionally, Brussels Airlines has signed a wet-lease agreement for four Airbus A220 aircraft to operate seasonally from summer 2025, further expanding its capacity and route options. The carrier also expressed intentions to grow its short- and medium-haul fleet, though specific details are yet to be announced.
